According to Chongqing Meteorological Service, it will continue to be hot and sunny in the following days across Chongqing, with the highest temperature reaching 43°C. The whole Chongqing should pay attention to heatstroke and fire prevention.

It happened to be Chushu (a solar term, meaning the end of heat) on August 23, but the heat still lingered in Chongqing, with high temperatures exceeding 40°C in most areas, among which, the temperature reached 44.7°C in Beibei. In addition, according to the Chongqing Climate Center, most parts of Chongqing such as Shapingba District, Beibei District, Banan District, Yubei District, Tongliang District, Bishan District, Yunyang County, Tongliang District, Dianjiang County and Rongchang District experienced the hottest Chushu since meteorological records were kept. Among them, the average daily temperature in Shapingba reached 38.2°C.

So, when will the high temperature in Chongqing decline? According to the Chongqing Meteorological Service, latest information analysis shows that a relatively obvious cold air is expected to affect Chongqing from the 29th of this month, when most parts of Chongqing will see significant drop of temperature and rainfalls, and the hot weather will be effectively relieved.

Meteorological experts remind that the heat will continue in the next few days and that forest fires must be closely guarded and all fires in forest areas are strictly prohibited.
