All people coming or returning to Chongqing from other areas would have to scan a “Ruyu Code” upon arrival in Chongqing.

So far, “Ruyu Codes” have been posted at the airport, railway station, inter-provincial coach station, ports, highway crossing and other traffic ports in the city. Those coming or returning to Chongqing have to scan the code and follow the prompts of the pop-up window to complete a nucleic acid test within 24 hours and report their health condition to the community before the pop-up window disappears.

It is reported that before the pop-up window disappears, those new arrivals should carry out self-protection measures; they can receive accommodation, emergency treatment and public transport services, but are not allowed to join dinner parties, attend meetings and business activities, and visit shopping malls, cinemas and other crowded and enclosed public spaces.
