BEIJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhua) -- Two ships dispatched by the China Coast Guard (CCG) have completed a 2022 patrol mission to enforce fisheries law in the high seas of the North Pacific Ocean.

During their 45-day patrol, the CCG ships undertook inspections and the supervision of fishing boats operating in the North Pacific Ocean in accordance with relevant United Nations General Assembly resolutions and the Convention on the Conservation and Management of High Seas Fisheries Resources in the North Pacific Ocean, according to the CCG.

They observed and recorded 180 fishing boats from various countries, including five which they boarded for an inspection, effectively fulfilling their law enforcement responsibility in the high seas and maintaining the order of fishery production in the North Pacific Ocean, the CCG said.

The ships returned to port on Wednesday. This was the CCG's seventh cruise mission in the high seas of the North Pacific Ocean.
