CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As of August 31, the double-line tunnel between Fuhualu Station and Xietaizi Station of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 18 has been successfully excavated and open up, which lays a solid foundation for the subsequent construction.

The tunnel between Fuhualu Station and Xietaizi Station is located in Yuzhong District, Chongqing, with the left line of 1652.409 meters long and the right line of 1678.774 meters. Due to its covering the routes of Line 9 and Line 5, the tunnel is so deep that it makes the construction very difficult and risky.

The builders optimized the excavation steps, improved the construction organization, chose more powerful excavation machines, carried out targeted transformation of relevant machines, so as to ensure the efficient operation of personnel and machinery and promote the construction efficiency. After 593 days, the stage goal of opening up the two lines of the tunnel has now been successfully achieved.

CRCC Chongqing Investment Group said, as the tunnel opens up, they are going to carry out the secondary lining work in the tunnel between Fuhualu Station and Xietaizi Station to promote the overall construction.

It is learned that Line 18 covers from Fuhualu Station to Tiaodengnan Station, with a total length of about 29 kilometers. After completion, it will connect Yuzhong District, Jiulongpo District, Banan District and Dadukou District, bringing easier transportation and communications to the citizens living along the line.
