On the first day of school, many students came to the school gate early. Accompanied by their parents, some hopped on their beloved scooters, some shouted “goodbye” to their fathers, and some gave a hug when they saw their old classmates. At the beginning of the new semester, they were very happy to go back to school.

However, parents were more worried and reluctant to leave their children. “Listen to the teacher at school and be polite.” “Take the water cup carefully, remember to drink it when you are thirsty.” “Be careful in extracurricular activities”... At the entrance of Shapingba Shuren Primary School, parents helped their children tidy their clothes and give them cups, repeatedly reminded, until the child entered the school.
Not only that, many parents also leaned on the school fence to conduct various “secret observations”. Some stooped and waved to the children through the gap at the school fence, some held up their mobile phones to record the scene of the children running to the classroom, and some called the children’s watch and reminded them again. From a distance, it looks like the wall was “overgrown” with fresh parents.

“My daughter is in first grade this year, and it is her first time to get into the primary school. We got up early to prepare, and she is very excited.” Beside the fence of Shuren Primary School, Ms. Ma and her husband kept looking at the direction of their daughter’s classroom. “After all, it is the first time for her to go to primary school. We have told her many things, but we are still afraid that she will not adapt to the new environment.”

On the morning of September 5, Huaxin Experimental Primary School held the opening ceremony of the new semester.

Zhou Juan, the mother of Li Jiage, a student from Class 4, Grade 3, is a community worker. At the opening ceremony, as a representative of parents participating in the anti-epidemic, Zhou Juan shared her anti-epidemic experience with the students. In addition, she instructed the students to take precautionary measures when going out.

Ma Cai, from Class 2, Grade 4, shared with his classmates the “Red Scarf Sending Cool” activity they carried out in the summer on the rostrum. The activity was organized by a classmate’s mother, and more than 20 volunteer classmates were collected to send mung bean soup to high temperature workers in two groups. “I think this activity is very meaningful, and I saw the hard work of the workers,” Ma Cai said with a smile.

Then, Tan Qiang, a physical education teacher at Huaxin Experimental Primary School, shared his experience of supporting the frontline during the Beibei Mountain Fire. “I may have thought a lot before I went, but when I got there, I just wanted to do things.” He recalled that at that time, he and other teachers spontaneously signed up and went to the front line to volunteer together, providing materials needed for rescue and firefighters of water and rice, and turned his back to the top of the mountain that cannot be reached by motorcycles.
