CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- During the 124th press conference on the prevention and control of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) held on September 17 in Chongqing, Li Pan, the deputy director of Chongqing Municipal Health Commission said that people coming or returning to Chongqing must receive an nucleic acid test upon their arrival, and those leaving Chongqing should show their 48-hour valid negative nucleic acid test results before leaving. People should show a 72-hour valid negative nucleic acid test result before entering hotels, tourist attractions and other public places.

“The use of Yukang Code is a significant way to prevent and control COVID 19 epidemic in five aspects,” Li Bian said, we should make a good job of scanning, checking, inspecting and reporting Yukang Code and testing by setting up codes in public places, ask the public to scan the code and have their Yukang Codes checked before entering the public places in accordance with the relevant epidemic prevention and control regulations of different public places.

"Scanning" means the citizens should scan the specific code of the public through their Yukang Codes before entering.

"Checking" means that the inspecting personnel of the public area should check the status of the health codes and nucleic acid testing results of the general public. On principle, those with red codes, yellow codes, or pop-up window are not allowed to enter the public areas except for medical institutions and other special public places. If those with red codes, yellow codes, or pop-up window need to stay in hotels, they should check in in accordance with relevant regulations.

"Inspecting" means the public should show their "itinerary codes" through their cell phones for the inspecting personnel to check whether they have been to the key areas within the past 7 days.

"Reporting" means that those coming or returning to Chongqing should report their health condition to the local community. The working staff at the traffic port should ask those coming or returning to Chongqing from key areas to report their health condition completed on site or in advance.

"Testing" means nucleic acid testing. People coming or returning to Chongqing must receive a nucleic acid test upon their arrival, and those leaving Chongqing should show their 48-hour valid negative nucleic acid test results before leaving. People should show a 72-hour valid negative nucleic acid test result before entering hotels, tourist attractions and other public places, and a 48-hour valid negative nuclei acid test result before entering civil service institutions such as elderly institutions and child welfare houses, as well as crowded places like construction sites. People in the downtown area should actively participate in the regular nucleic acid testing every 7 days, and other people should also participate in nucleic acid testing according to the relevant management measures.
