CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On September 22, with the water level getting higher in Jiangtan Park in Jiangbei District, the exposed river bank has been out of sight.

Recently, due to the rainfall in the upper reaches of the river, Beibei hydrometric station of Jialing River and Cuntan hydrometric station of Yangtze River have experienced the first substantial rise in water levels since the drought occurred.

It is learned that as of 23:00 on September 21, Beibei hydrometric station of Jialing River has seen its highest water level, with an increase of 10.7 meters; as of 4:50 a.m. on September 22, the water level in Cuntan hydrometric station of Yangtze River has reached its peak, with an increase of 5.51 meters.
