CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The extension and renovation project of the Shapingba section of the inner-ring expressway has progressed in an orderly manner recently. As a key municipal-level project, the project covers from Xihuan overpass to Gaojia Huayuan Bridge, with a total length of 5,480 meters. The project plans to broaden out the existing six lanes in two directions and the emergency parking area to ten lanes in two directions. At present, about 80% of the entire project has been completed, and the main line is expected to be opened to traffic within the year.
