With a total construction area of 166,900 square meters and a seating capacity of about 60,000, the outline of Chongqing Longxing Soccer Field is clearly discernible and magnificent in the sunlight. Now the construction of outdoor landscaping and facilities is progressing at a high speed, while the installation of seats in the soccer field has been completed. The reporter noticed that the lawn of the soccer field had been covered with a white film.

“Considering its closed environment, the shade of the top layer, and the weather in Chongqing, we planted winter ryegrass in the lawn, which grows fast and vigorously to keep the lawn green all year round,” said the relevant person in charge. He/she added that in such weather, it takes about 10 days for the seedlings to come out. It’s estimated that the end of this December will witness a green lawn that meets the acceptance standards of the Asian Football Confederation soccer matches.
