Chongqing is the transportation junction of water, road and air in southwest China. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is one of the ten largest civil airports in China, 23 kilometers away from and less than 1 hour bus drive to the urban area. Located in Caiyuanba, Chongqing Railway Station and Chongqing Bus Station occupy the most passengers in Chongqing.

Chongqing owns flights directly to more than 40 large and medium-sized cities in China. Over 110 national and international lines have been opened. Furthermore, highways directly extend from the airport to the city proper.
