Longmenhao Traditional Style Street to open in September

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The first open zone (Zaoziwan Area) of the Longmenhao Traditional Style Street in Nan'an District will open in September. The seven key Traditional Style Streets in the city will open by 2020.
According to reports, the seven specially protected traditional streets in the city are:
Huguang Guild and Dongshuimen Historical and Cultural Street
Shibati Traditional Style Area in Yuzhong District
Longmenhao Historical and Cultural Street in Nan’an District
Fengsheng Ancient Town and
Mudong Traditional Style Street in Banan District
Jingangbei Historical and Cultural Street in Beibei District
Ciqikou Historical and Cultural Street in Shapingba District.
According to preliminary statistics, there are 74 immovable cultural relics in these traditional style streets, and there are also a large number of historical buildings, streets, lanes and other historical elements. By 2020, all seven streets will be put into operation.
When the port was opened in Chongqing in 1891, Longmenhao Wharf became China's first inland port opened for trade. In the first open zone, the construction of the traditional styled buildings and the restoration of Chongqing Customs Villas' old site have basically been completed.
