CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Do you know the stamps firstly issued by China Post? Recently, China Post Group Corporation jointly with the All-China Philatelic Federation held a press conference in Beijing about the 2018 Stamp Collecting Week & the 140th Anniversary of Dragon Stamps Exhibition. The exhibition will be held in several areas of our country. In addition, Chongqing Post will organize 18 theme activities in the city and firstly issue the Stamp about 24 Solar Terms (Three).

The 2018 Stamp-Collecting Week will open on August 4 and close on August 9, with different theme activities, including stamp collecting and culture, stamp collecting and youth, stamp collecting and zodiac, stamp collecting and tour, stamp collecting and sport, and member day of stamp collecting.

From July 24 to August 26, the exhibition will be held at the places where early Dragon Stamps were issued, like Tianjin, Beijing, Yingkou, Yantai and Shanghai. More than 60 precious cultural relics containing the Dragon elements will present in the exhibition, including the "Ferrar’s hand-painted drawings" collected by the China National Postage Stamp Museum, the postal bag of the Qing Dynasty provided by the China Customs Museum, and the Zhang Zhidong’s memorial about opening post offered by the First Historical Archives of China. Among them, the majority are on display for the first time.

What’s more, during the 2018 Stamp Collecting Week, Wanzhou District, as a key transformation city of stamp collecting culture, will run a national major event on August 7 and issue the Stamp about 24 Solar Terms (Three). (Translated by Jiang Yuling, Fathom Language Limited)
