Viewing platforms to be built for two popular interchanges

The transportation facilities of magical Chongqing, including 720° Rongqiao Interchange and “roller-coaster like” Sujiaba Interchange have become hot tourist attractions. The two popular attractions will have their own viewing platforms; besides, new lighting facilities are also being added, making these places brand new for tourists.

As the highest elevated ramp bridge in the country, the Sujiaba Interchange has two circular rings on the left and right, and the track of Line 3 in the middle. The combination is like a "face" with two eyes and a nose. In the preliminary design, a viewing platform will be built under the Tongyuanju Station of the Line 3, and visitors can see this “face” as they look up. At the same time, a lighting project featured elements of Chongqing stilted building is also planned for the two rings of Sujiaba Interchange, which will make it even more worth seeing at night.

Years ago, the film Crazy Stone brought the 720-degree rotating interchange to fame. In recent years, Rongqiao Interchange has also become a tourist attraction in the city. The conceptual design of the Rongqiao Interchange will be based on the theme of the elves kingdom in the forest, and a wooden plank road will be paved for commuting citizens, which can also be served as a viewing platform. In another version of the scheme design, the theme is Chongqing's municipal flower, camellia. A giant camellia in the center of the interchange will be built. During daytime, the camellia is white, and at night it will change colors to create sense where a camellia blossoms in the mountains. These excellent designs are still under discussion.

Elevators that directly connecting Nanbin Road and Yangtze River Cableway planned

In recent years, the “Air bus” Yangtze River Cableway has become a must-see attraction for tourists, with more than 4 million people visiting a year. The Yangtze River Cableway is located on the semi-mountain slope of the Yangtze River Cableway (Longmen Road) in Nan'an District. After visiting Nanbin Road, visitors have to climb a long slope to reach the Yangtze River Cableway.
