The man is Luo Yunbo, 30 years old andbfrom Guizhou. Several years ago, he came to Chongqing due to the city’s rapid development and became a porter, a job that required physical strength.

In the daytime, Luo Yunbo is a manual worker going back and forth on both streets and roads in the city; at night, he takes out his paintbrush and paper to begin impromptu painting, sitting at corners in simmering lights regardless of where he is. Luo Yunbo draws with a rollerball pen on a sheet of A4 paper. Houses in Songtao County, Tongren, Guizhou Province and wooden buildings of Xiangjiang paifangs (a traditional style of Chinese architectural arch or gateway structure) in Hu’nan Province are tremendously vivid in his painting.
