The international route from Chongqing to Sihanouk, Cambodia opens.
CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In the early morning of the 18th, with an Airbus A320 aircraft of Cambodia JC International Airlines landing at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, the Chongqing-Sihanouk International route was officially opened. The opening of this route not only fills the gap of direct Chongqing-Sihanouk flight, but also narrows the distance between the two places. It also enriches and perfects the international and regional route network of Chongqing.
A relevant person in charge of JC International Airlines of Cambodia said that before the direct flight from Chongqing to Sihanouk was opened, the transfer between the two places takes place in Kunming or Bangkok, Thailand. The one-way time is about seven or eight hours. Now that this flight has been opened, it can save three to four hours for passengers, and the exchanges between the two places will be more convenient.
The Chongqing-Sihanouk route is the fifth international route opened by Chongqing Airport this year. In the first half of this year, Chongqing Airport has opened four international routes from Chongqing to Hanoi, Hat Yai, Ho Chi Minh City, and Chongqing-Zhanjiang-Bangkok.
According to Chongqing Airport, 73 international and regional routes have been opened, including 59 for passengers and 14 for cargoes, covering 55 cities in 22 countries on 5 continents. Among the international and regional passenger routes opened, there are 15 intercontinental routes connecting London, Rome, New York, Melbourne, Helsinki, Moscow, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Auckland. Among them, 14 are direct flights to Chongqing. In additon, the Airport plans to open international routes to more cities such as Toronto, Chicago, Paris, Colombo and Kathmandu this year to further improve the international route network covering Europe, America, Australia, Asia and Africa.
