    Shapingba has so far established 395 medical institutions including 7 level-Ⅲ hospitals, 9 level-II hospitals, 16 level-Ⅰ hospitals, 14 community health service centers, 13 community health service stations, 8 health centers in towns and 45 clinics in villages, bringing great convenience to local residents.

    Shapingba has been focusing on strengthening reform on medical care and health system, improving medical insurance, speeding up upgrading of medical service system, boosting equalization of public health service, implementing the National Essential Drugs System, exploring reform on public hospitals and forming basic medical care and health service system.
