A new pilot business in Chongqing

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- China Customs approved the implementing stage of the Chongqing cross-border trade e-commerce services pilot project , that is to say, Chongqing is the only full-service pilot city in China, according to The Chongqing Economy and Informationization Commission on November 5th, 2013.

The related principal of Chongqing Economy and Informationization Commission said Chongqing proposed general import, bonded import, general export and bonded export. These four business modes can support the export and import clearance service of cross-border product in all kinds of sales and logistics model referring to current cross-border e-commerce.

Chongqing International E-commerce Transaction Certification Center, the third party certification authority of international e-commerce, founded in 2010 with the guidance and support of China Customs and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, and the approval of Chongqing Municipal People’s Government. It aims to support the settlement operation of Paypal, the largest third party payment company in the world from America. The center pioneers the certification and settlement business of internal e-commerce in China, which is also the first and unique e-commerce certification authority with government background in China. It is oriented at the solutions to the authenticity certification and settlement of internal e-commerce.

In August 2012, Chongqing was approved to be the pilot city of cross-border trade e-commerce services by National Development and Reform Commission and China Customs (5 in total, the other four were Shanghai, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou and Ningbo). In February 2013, Chongqing was listed as one of the first pilot cities of cross-border e-commerce foreign exchange payment among payment institutions by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (the others were Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Shenzhen.)
