The play of Gu Qin (an ancient Chinese plucked instrument with 7 strings)

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 2013 New Year Gu Qin Concert is to be held at Guotai Arts Center in Chongqing on December 11th and 12th. Citizens can enjoy a concert performed by Gu Qin masters from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Having waited for 60 years, this concert will be the first grand meeting for Gu Qin enthusiasts in Chongqing.

More than 20 Gu Qin masters such as Tian Qing and Gong Yi will attend a seminar in Chongqing and discuss the heritage and preservation of Gu Qin, an ancient Chinese instrument. Citizens can not only enjoy such ancient music as Liushui (flowing water) and Shenrenchang (Chang of immortal), but also listen to Tian Qing’s lecture about Gu Qin.
