Flavourful rice dumplings are always a memorable part of Dragon Boat Festival in China. This year, Chongqing held some ritual activities during the festival.

Tourists from both home and abroad appreciated the dance of rice-dumpling offerings. Meanwhile, children received blessings and learnt how to make rice dumplings and experienced some traditional Chinese culture.

During the festival, marsh plants, wormwood and rice dumplings wrapped in colourful leaves were hung up. Many boats festooned with festival flags travelled back and forth on the river. There were also ancient costume plays on the wooden boats.(CQNEWS)
