On 25th July, the Chongqing Science Museum of Earthquakes was officially opened to the public. This is the first museum to explain and illustrate earthquake prevention and disaster reduction in the city.

Situated in the South Hot Spring, Ba'nan District, the museum has more than 20 earthquake-themed exhibits, including seismometers and a seismograph model.
