The Three Gorges Dam, Chongqing’s gigantic Yangtze River-based hydropower project, initiated a new round of experimental impounding on September 15th, with the water level expected to reach up to 175 meters by the end of November. The latest statistics from local environment monitoring departments on September 24th shows the water quality at the Three Gorges Reservoir remains stable.
