On September 28th, the Chongqing Transport Commission signed contracts with three companies respectively regarding the construction of 3 200 kilometer expressways, marking the beginning of Chongqing’s 4tt ‘1-km expressway’ project.

The three expressways include a 50km stretch from Jiulongpo to Yongchuan district, 74km from Nanchuan District to Liangjiang New Area and a 76km stretch from Hechuan to Changshou district.

Post construction, the three expressways will greatly optimize local transport networks and help to alleviate traffic jams in main urban districts. (CQNEWS)
