The smog that has shrouded Chongqing since last Friday is expected to clear up in the coming days. On October 25th the Chongqing Meteorological Observatory issued the 1st yellow coded alert for haze in the latter half of 2014.

Due to a creeping cold front, it is predicted that from October 27th medium to heavy rain will hit many parts of Chongqing, helping to ease the hazy weather. (CQNEWS)
