The cable tunnel is nearly 600m long, with 25 cables inside. The cable tunnel belongs to "limited space operation” scope. Due to its narrow space, insufficient light, toxic and harmful gas content which exceeds the standard, and less oxygen, the manual inspection would be risky. 

Now, there will be less risks with robot “Xixi”. Equipped with many functional modules, like automatic laser navigation, cloud visible light, infrared shooting, gas sensing, voice alarm and "brain chip" memory, it accurately monitors the running status of power supply equipment. 

Through its inspection, workers can not only clearly see tunnel situation and cable heating on the computer, but also can monitor the carbon dioxide, oxygen, formaldehyde and others. In the past, it took nearly an hour for four people to inspect the cables, while now, "Xixi" can finish it in about 20 minutes more accurately and efficiently.
