CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Have you ever observed the hands of a laborer？Some are full of calluses and chaps; some are rough and tan, or slender and clean. Behind each hand, there are their sweat and tears, glory and dreams. Different hands are all struggling for living, they are at their best in labor time. This time, we record their hands with cameras to express the greatest respect to laborers.

The hands has been immersed in the water for years, with many wounds and some parts of the blister peeling, and even knife cuts. Where once there were blisters, eventually there were calluses.

The owner: Pu Congjun, a fish worker has worked for two years. Even Pu Congjun himself cannot tell the wound is stabbed by fish or knife. There is a glove covered with fish blood on one of his hand, and an apron full of fish scales hung on him. A chopping knife on the one hand, while the other hand is expertly killing fish, removing gills and scraping scales. After a whole day, Pu Congjun smells like fish.

The hands, covered with old calluses, are unable to straighten their fingers for injury.

The owner: Qu Jiancheng, a “Bang Bang” (a porter) has worked for 10 years. A stick and two ropes are his means of livelihood. He has to steep hills with sweat every day. You can tell his bitter and weariness from the conversation of “Bang Bang” and “I am coming”. According to Qu, it is a hard work, but it doesn’t matter for him since now everything is fine.
