CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Yang Xiumin, Commercial Counsellor of Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan, offered suggestions and advice for those Chongqing enterprises which are planning to invest in Kazakhstan on August 15, 2013.

The economic and trade relations between Chongqing and Kazakhstan are experiencing the period of strategic opportunities based on the surging China-Kazakhstan trade and a bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership, according to Yang.

Statistics showed that bilateral trade volume reached 25 billion U.S. dollars in 2012, up more than 100 times compared with that of 1992. And the figure is expected to hit 30 billion U.S. dollars this year.

Kazakhstan is expected to be a member of the WTO at the end of 2013, which will further boost the China-Kazakhstan economic and trade relations.

Yang spoke highly of the operation of Yuxin'ou (Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe) International Railway. This big channel has laid a solid foundation for Chongqing's open-up.

He also suggested that Chongqing's investors should work out long-term investment plans and have a deep understanding of Kazakhstan's market.
