CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The summer boom is quickly drawing to a close, with plummeting air ticket prices as a consequence. The cheapest air ticket cost only 200 yuan and the big winners are the airlines flying to Thailand, Lhasa and northwest China, according to Chongqing Airport on August 30, 2013.

For the time being, discounts and prices from Chongqing to Lanzhou, Jiuzhaigou and Lhasa have been cut by 75% to 270 yuan, 67%- to 440 yuan, and 76%- to 390 yuan, while the cheapest is 200 yuan, from Chongqing to Kangting in Sichuan. The above prices do not include taxes.

Moreover, charges for tourist groups to hot destinations like Yunnan and Tibet have also declined. For instance, a 5-day tour to Lijiang and Shangri-La costs only 2,000 yuan, in contrast with 4,000 yuan about one month ago.  (Translated by Chen Siyan, Fathom Language Limited)
