Afghan security personnel detain Taliban suicide bombing organizer

KABUL, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Security forces have captured an organizer of Taliban outfit's suicide attacks in the southern Paktika province with Sharan as its capital, 155 km south of the capital city Kabul, National Directorate for Security (NDS) or the country's national intelligence agency said in a statement released here Wednesday.

"Personnel of NDS have captured Sharif Khan, the organizer of suicide attacks during a special operation in Yusuf Khil district of Paktika province," the statement said.

The arrested militant had admitted to his relations with Taliban leadership and organizing several suicide attacks. He also admitted to kidnapping and beheading a policeman in the province, according to the statement.

Investigation is underway to extract more information and trace more Taliban networks in the province.

Taliban militants have yet to make any comment.
