Outstanding talents receive high payments

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The graduation ceremony and special job fairs for the first batch graduates of Microsoft Chongqing Software Service Outsourcing Training Base was held on November 19th, 2013. Forty-five well-known software enterprises provide 600 jobs, such as test engineers, JAV development engineers and programmers, with a monthly salary range from 4,000 to tens of thousands of yuan.

Qian Ying, the dean of Software College, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, said that the graduates with 3 months’ practical training experience, software engineer certificate and test engineer certificate which are certified by Microsoft are the first choice of software enterprises. “Among the undergraduates with practice, there are two outstanding ones. One of them was employed by Taobao (a website for online shopping) with an annual salary of 200,000 yuan, the other one by Tencent (a Chinese investment holding company, whose subsidiaries provide mass media, entertainment, internet and mobile phone value-added services, and operate online advertising services in China) with an annual salary of 160,000 yuan.

Microsoft Chongqing Software Service Outsourcing Training Base, the first software service outsourcing talents training base started in China by the headquarters of Microsoft, was jointly constructed by Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Microsoft Asia-Pacific Research & Development Group. Officially started in March 2012, it has trained 874 software service outsourcing students in the first two phases.

Fu Xiao, vice principal of the Software Department of Chongqing Economy and Informationization Commission, introduced that there are 120,000 people in Chongqing engaged in software industry and that number is expected to reach 300,000 to 400,000 by 2015.
