Chinese elements play a significant role in "Transformers: Age of Extinction," the fourth installment of the "Transformers" series that closed the 17th Shanghai International Film Festival on Sunday.
As well as mega cities like Hong Kong, Beijing and Guangzhou, the scenic spot, Wulong, in Chongqing serves as a location in the film, which takes up about 5 minutes of the film’s 165-minute running time.
The blockbuster features several Chinese stars, including actress Li Bingbing, who was in Shanghai yesterday.
Meanwhile, Chinese brands are also represented by the likes of the dairy product company Yili and automaker Guangzhou Automobile Group.
Rob Moore, vice chairman of Paramount Pictures, said that the film will be released on June 27 as scheduled.
