CHONGQING (CQNEWS) The Chongqing Economic Development Area output of cell phones reached 38,380,000pcs in the first half of the year with an output value of 14.9 billion yuan and an increase of 111% year on year.

Lu Yong, Director General of the Development Bureau for the area, stated that, seizing the chance of industrial restructuring, they had catalyzed the construction of cell phone production in the area. So far, 11 complete-built-unit cell phone enterprises as well as 17 accessory enterprises and organizations have been restructured, including six 4G cell phone enterprises. 2014 is expected to yield 70,000,000 cell phones.
