On Friday, a regular direct air route was launched connecting Chongqing and South Korea’s capital, Seoul.

Launched by Air China, the airline intends to cut travel time between the two cities to less than four hours.

The commute will utilize a Boeing-73G aircraft for the daily flight between Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and Seoul Incheon International Airport.

The direct flight is intended to cater to the surging number of tourists from the Republic of Korea, which in turn, has become a popular destination for Chinese travelers.(CQNEWS)
