On 8th September, a range of activities were held throughout Chongqing to celebrate this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival.

Of particular note was a folk cultural show, presented for visitors in the Anju Ancient Town, Tongliang District. At Wanling Ancient Town, Rongchang County, ancient buildings, local snacks and cultural performances, including the traditional face-changing Sichuan Opera, drew a whole host of tourists.

Aside from folk cultural performances, Mid-Autumn Festival food, such as mooncakes and “ciba”, a special glutinous rice cake, were also very popular among Chongqing natives. (CQNEWS) (Translated by Liu Kan)
