October is the harvest season. At the Shiyu Town’s pitaya fruit (“Dragon fruit”) base in the Tongliang District, great fields of pitaya are in the harvesting period. Some 50,000kg of high quality pitaya will be produced this year. The largest pitaya fruit base is Tongliang District. Four different types of pitaya are planted at the 300mu base. (CQNEWS)
