CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- After 7-Eleven, another large commercial retail listed company will settle in Chongqing. Changshou Autumn Shopping Festival, co-sponsored by Chongqing Commerce Commission and Changshou District People’s Government, officially kicked off on August 30, 2013.
On that same day, the first branch of Better-Life group opened its first branch in Changshou Dongfang Shui’an. It is expected that 10 stores to go in service in Chongqing within the next 2 years.
Better-Life was established in 1995 in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province. It was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on June 19, 2008 and was honored as “China’s No. 1 Private Supermarket Stock”. Taking into consideration the style this enterprise has always followed and its decision to first settle in Changshou District, some insiders assert that Better-Life’s development in Chongqing will again employ the strategy of “using the rural areas to encircle the cities”. It is also thought that it will boost the commercial supermarket consumption in surrounding areas of the main urban districts.
Chongqing is the 4th city that Better-Life Group has settled in, and within the next 2 years 20 projects will be launched in Sichuan Province and Chongqing. The next step it will take is to enter the markets of Sichuan Province, Guiyang City and Yunnan Province. (Translated by Zhang Xi, Fathom Language Limited)
