CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As one of the activities of the 4th China Chongqing Culture & Arts Festival, Chen Sa put on a piano recital at the Chongqing Theater on the evening of November 8th, 2013.

Chen Sa, a native of Chongqing, started learning to play piano with Dan Zhaoyi (a renowned piano educator) at the age of 9 and won the first prize in the youth group of China International Piano Competition in 1994. She was hailed as “one of the brightest performers of her generation” by London Classic FM after having acquired the Crystal Award of 12th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2005.

In the 2-hour concert, Chen Sa played such piano classics as the Humoresque Op. 20 by Schumann and the Isolde’s Love Death by Liszt. The audiences were especially enchanted by her performance of Isolde’s Love Death. (Translated by Chen Siyan, Fathom Language Limited)
