CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Danzishi will be the new landmark of Chongqing’s urban core area. Fourteen office building headquarters have begun construction and it is planning to build an underground 3D transportation and corridor in the air, so as to mitigate the traffic jams in CBD, according to the Administration Committee of Danzishi CBD, Nan’an District, Chongqing on November 18th, 2013.

The Headquarters Economic Zone in Danzishi CBD will be expanded to 3km2 from the present 1.5km², and the first phase project has finished business attraction, headquarters of enterprises such as Chongqing Energy Investment Group, Chongqing Publishing Group, NVC Lighting Group and Suez Environment. After all the contracted enterprises have moved in the headquarters zone, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 100 billion yuan.

As for the recreation function, the 50,000m² Danzishi Square is to be the new urban landmark with an integration of river view, entertainment and shopping. For the moment, Chongqing International Circus World is undergoing the main-body construction; the Music World, the Landscape Water Curtain and the Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium are also expected to be completed within 2-3 years.
