Current Chaotianmen

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chaotianmen is to be closed due to construction and the transportation in and around the area to be controlled for the next 2 years. What will the future of Chaotianmen be like? It will become Chongqing’s new landmark consisting of a row of new high-rises.

Yuzhong District People’s Government of Chongqing signed a contract with CapitaLand China, a subsidiary of CapitaLand Group, and Singbridge Holdings, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek regarding the Chaotianmen development and construction project at the beginning of 2012 and declared that 8 skyscrapers are to be built around the area.

This project’s total investment amount has been set at 21.1 billion yuan and the total construction area is 817,000m2. It will connect park, subway station, public transportation transfer, passenger terminal with cruise center, which can greatly improve the traffic conditions in and around Chaotianmen.
