Construction of the Shennvfeng Airport Project in Wushan County, a 26-kilometre highway connecting the airport with Wushan, Fengjie and Wuxi counties, began on June 27.

The main part of the airport, with a total investment of approximately 1.7 billion yuan, is reportedly planned to start construction in August this year and put into operation in 2017.
