Largest flood peak of Wu River passes through Chongqing

On 17th July, the largest flood peak to hit the Wu River this year ran through Chongqing.

According to the latest data released by the local hydrologics station, at 1 a.m. on 17th July the water level at the Pengshui County section of the Wu River stood at 234 metres, 9 metres higher than the flood warning level set by the station.

The maximum water flow during this period reached 15,000 cubic metres per second.
