European private equity fund, TVM Capital, announced on Wednesday that it plans to invest more than 3 billion yuan in Chongqing over the next three to five years, as it looks to take advantage of the city's burgeoning healthcare sector and the increasing need for quality medical care for local consumers.

The fund managers said TVM Capital plans to bring a group of international investors to the city, seeking partnerships with local entrepreneurs.

Private equity in Chongqing has continued to bet in the city’s healthcare space, as they look to take advantage of opportunities emerging in the space, and which straddle both traditional healthcare needs and the growing consumption story.
