Chongqing Natural Museum, the only comprehensive natural museum in west China, will be put into service at the beginning of next year.

Located at the foot of Jinyun Mountains in Beibei District, the museum has 6 exhibition halls with 1,600 square meters.

Most of the 7,000-9,000 items to be on display are donated by the public. The famous U.S. philanthropist Kenneth E. Behring has donated 237 African & American rare animal specimens valuing 180 million US dollars for free. (CQNEWS)
