Commercial vehicle industrial park to land in Chongqing

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- China International Marine Containers (Group) Ltd. (CIMC) plans to invest 400 million yuan in Chongqing Gangcheng Industrial Zone for the construction of a commercial vehicle trade and service industrial park in Area A, according to Chongqing Gangcheng Industrial Park Administrative Committee on November 12th. The project is to come into operation in the second half of 2014 and plans to attract settlement of more than 100 commercial vehicle brands and dealers.

CIMC Commercial Vehicle Industrial Park, covering an area of more than 270 mu, will begin construction at the beginning of 2014 and trial operation in July, 2014. In the park, 4S stores for commercial vehicles, center store and supporting vehicle maintenance are included. Project contact with commercial vehicle brands of domestic and overseas are undergoing, such as the Mercedes Benz heavy trucks, and the Great wall pickups. During trial operation, 18 brands will settle in with an annual expected sales volume of 3 billion. The estimated annual sales volume is up to 7 billion after the project is completed and the second stage of the project is slated for commencement in 2015.

According to the related principal of Chongqing Branch Company of CIMC, they will introduce functional organizations such as vehicle administration offices and financing institutions to supply nearby services, such as vehicle registration, insurance, certificate handling and annual check.
