Stalactites and stalagmites in the “Goddess Cave”

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, a large karst cave which dates back hundreds of thousands of years was discovered on the mountainside of Goddess Peak (Shennv Feng). There are lots of stalagnate, stalagnate, helictite and stone curtains. The local people have named it the “Palace of the Goddess”.

The entrance to the cave is located at the middle to lower part of Goddess Peak’s mountain slope, by the side of upstream wharf’s hiking trail.

Exploration shows that the cave has a length of 660m and is full of of peculiar stalactite sediments. (Translated by Li Li, Fathom Language Limited)
